Fresh Kicks 2

Fresh Kicks dawned upon Edmonton once again, bringing together the finest sneaker heads / streetwear fiends in the area. It was a good good show. Noone (and I mean NOONE) that I knew wanted / had a chance to go. Kelsey overheard me talking about it and said she’d like to check it out.

Day of the show. Had NO idea what to wear, so I decided to go basic: white tee, regular wash denim and IDs. I got a ride to Kelseys place and Cody-Lynn was over. We walked around a bit and met up with a few of their friends, then we went to downtown. Took us FOREVER to find this show; I’ve never been to Haven before. It was hard to locate. Once we got there, a part of me lit up. I have never in my LIFE been surrounded by so many beautiful shoes. Limited Editions! Customs! It was all so crazy. Kelsey & co. were bored and decided to hit up some party in Capilano, I stayed behind to just check it out longer. Some guy comes up to me, not looking at my eyes at all…which is normal for me being a woman with a chest of this stature, but suprisingly enough he was just staring at my kicks! “I figured this was your size” he said. He handed me a bag full of FREE things CDs, stickers and….TWO 10 DEEP TEES bahah.

I was still checking out some shoes, when I saw some guy rockin’ SB tiffs. Kind of tattered..similar to the ones that I saw at the Kanye show. “Yo where’d you get your kicks!” “I got them at Plush..hey..weren’t you at the Kanye concert?” And so it began. Sarah fell for that guy with the cute kicks and even cuter smile.

Some time later, after my conversation with Mr. SB, I started talking to Justin and he showed me his favs. [Unkles] I left. I see this guy. He rolls down his car window. It’s Mr. Cutie. “You goin’ to the afterparty?” “Naw I don’t have an ID.” “Well..uhh..do you use Facebook?”

And there it was.
Once again, foolish Sarah fell for another guy with nice shoes.
