We just came here to see what it do

From an outside perspective, my life seems pretty fucking glamorous. I just got back from traveling half way across the world, I went shopping in London, dined at the nicest restaurants in Austria [and ...sat in a house in Rawlpindi as the power decided to shut off for an extra hour] and I spend every waking moment suntanning or planning parties. I just flew back to Edmonton from a pre-summer break vacation and now I’m off to see [my love] Pharrell Williams, N*E*R*D, Kanye West, [nasssstyy] Rhianna, and not to mention the greatest hip hop artist of our time, Wasalu Mohammad Jaco aka LUPE FIASCO!!! That day was probably the best of my life. Let’s do a run-through. School was a blur. I can’t rember what happened.

It was a Thursday, which meant it was S+F day, I biked to school, and have a spare after lunch so I biked home. It was REALLY hot / humid [for Edmonton standards] and I was really gross when I got home, so I showered. After that I was off to do the impossible: PICK AN OUTFIT. This would be the outfit that PHARRELL or LUPE or maybe even A-TRAK would see me in. I had to incorporate [or at least attempt to] all of them into my fit. So, I basically went with my A-Trak shirt [excellent convo starter], UNIQULO denim [really clean looking jeans; I love the wash], Creative Recreation Cesario Lo in Gold and Silver [matched my jewlery], Bape tote [I needed a bag..nothing else really worked], some cute earrings that Kiran gave me, Dorothy Perkins ring from LONDON. Cheap as fuck but looks like I spent about $200 on it. Really good quality. Okay. The fit was done. I sit and watch Steven and Chris; quite possibly the best talk show ever.

Sushi / Tanni / Manit come over. I do my makeup right before they arrived and then off we were. Mama drove us to Millgate, we bussed to DT then LRD’d to the show. We were really early, but that’s okay. They gave us pins…I got one that says “I <3 NERD”. I would wear it but I don’t like “The Bounce” logo on it. Then we saw Mili and Keith. While standing in the line, I saw a guy with PAGER GREY ICE CREAMS. I passed out. I asked him if they were legit, and they were. He got them in VAN! It was soooooooo crazy. Then I saw a guy rockin’ SB tiffs. [REMEMBER HIM.] He also rocked a mets hat. LOVE LOVE LOVE. After that, we all bought tees. I bought two, spent $70. That isn’t a bad price for one tee, but everyone was pissed that they were so expensive. OKAY. So we go to our seats and just wait and wait and wait. This DJ comes out to do a sound check. Sushi says LOOK SARAH IT’S A-TRAK! “OMG ATRAK ATRAK I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU!” ..I never realised that i would get like that around celebrates. [It wasn't A-Trak] o.O Then the lights went dark. All of a sudden…LUPE!!!!! I nearly passed out. Wow. He worked the crowd. After LUPE (!) it was …N*E*R*D. UNBELIEVABLE. Is it possible that Pharrell is hotter in person? I think so. WOW. They have so much energy. I rate their performance 10/10. Unreal. Pharrell rocked this bicycle BBC tee, the one with the dog…it was white. I didn’t see his shoes, too much smoke but he rocked this green BBC hat and a grey BBC hoodie. [no Ice Cream, Pharrell?] That hour was most likely the highlight of my life. Then Yas texted. She forgot the ticket at home. I had to go down durring Rhiannas ENTIRE performance [oh, no] and help her get in. Wasn’t to hard. [thats what she said] So it was intermission. Then Kanye came on. [thats what she said] His stage was set up SO crazy. ..and I gotta give him props for not doign the whole stereotypical rap thing, talking about bitches and rims..he tried to have a different theme with teh whole spaceship. He played all my favs. Lupe came out for ‘Touch The Sky’. IT WAS CRAZY! I really hoped that CRS would have done a few jams, but Pharrell came as NERD, not as Pharrell. All in all it was a good night. I got home at 2, woke up at 5:30 and biked 25k to school. Story of my life.

BY THE WAY: I am going to meet Pharrell, someday. Somehow. I have a PLAN!
