London’s Calling
London was good times all around. Not gonna say too much, because it was basically me shopping. [UNBELIEVABLE shopping, though!]
I will tell one story.
I was on a mission to get to the hideout for the past two and a half years. The second I arrived in London, I google-mapped the address, and the next day I was off. I flew across the ocean, drove for hours upon hours, took the tube, two buses and a train…all to get to this one store. SO once I arrive there, IT WAS CLOSED. My heart was broken. You could almost see tears in the windows reflection as I gazed past the large KERMIT X SUPREME poster. [but not really] The next day I kind of got the gist of where I was [it was VERY VERY difficult finding this store. It literally is a hideout] I went back to this store. I walked in, and was ignored by [both!] of the people working there. Then one of them noticed my A-Trak shirt, double taked [took?] and smiled at me. We started chatting away, while I was looking at the most UNBELIEVABLE collection of streetwear. Alas, they had nothing in my size [that I liked, or was willing to drop!] so I wandered two stores to the left, and there it was, THE BAPE STORE. I’ve never been a huge fan of bape, with all the fape out there, who is anymore? But from the second I looked in the window at those silver on silver bapestas, I was trapped. Everyone there was [surprisingly] friendly. Homeboy [WITH AN UPTOWN FADE] and I totally hit it of. Damn, if there’s one thing that I can go back and do in England, it would definately have been him.
..and that was London.
Oh, I saw a few SICK Banksy pieces. Unbelievable.
